This week on Wine Chats, we asked the uncomfortable but important question: If your partner subscribes to someone on OnlyFans... is that cheating?
These days, digital cheating is becoming more common - and murkier. With platforms like OnlyFans blurring the lines between emotional infidelity online and casual content consumption, couples are finding themselves asking new, difficult questions about online relationship boundaries.
As we started chatting, we weren’t prepared for how spicy this episode would get, but here we are. This is girl chat with real emotion, real confusion, and (as always) some wine.
Porn vs personal intimacy
"Do you think by subscribing to an online creator's platform, such as OnlyFans, is that deemed cheating?"
This was the question Lyndsey asked, and it sparked one of our deepest, most revealing convos yet.
We compared traditional porn with platforms like OnlyFans and realised that while porn feels impersonal, OnlyFans can feel like digital intimacy. It’s not just about watching and accessing the content - it’s about interaction, direct messaging, and exclusivity.
"With OnlyFans, it's very much like we want you, and I can talk to you, and I can message you and you will message me back... so it does make me feel a bit icky."
Is OnlyFans cheating? Where is the line?
Where is the line, indeed. The verdict? It depends.
"If my husband subscribed to a page and it was intimately messaging back and forth with the creator, to me, that is definitely a hundred percent cheating."
"That crosses the line so f*cking hard for me."

But what if it’s a harmless fetish? What if it’s just feet pics? What if there’s honesty?
We shared our own past experiences on OnlyFans (yep, we had an account until we were kicked off), and how even in our own journeys, boundaries were very different between casual viewers and those who wanted a relationship-style interaction.
Communication > Sneakiness
At the end of the day, what we think makes it feel like cheating isn't the content itself - it's the sneaking, the messaging, the emotional betrayal.
"If he's out on the couch chatting to women and getting photos from a particular woman and paying for it... I would murder people."
(Kidding! ... kind of.)
