This week on the Wine Chats Podcast, we’re diving into a spicy and super relevant topic: child influencers.

We’ve all seen them, those adorable kids unboxing toys or dancing on TikTok, but we’re asking the real questions: Should kids be social media influencers? What are the risks? Who’s really in control? And how do parents draw the line between opportunity and exploitation?

This episode was inspired by Netflix’s Bad Influence: The Dark Side of Kidfluencing, because when Billi watched it, she was so disgusted, she immediately called Lyndsey to watch it too.

In it, we get honest about how we feel as mums, and how we’d handle it if our own children were approached for brand deals or social fame.

Plus we chat about how predators are hiding in plain sight, using social platforms to source and share child content, and the disturbing stat that 60% of child sexual abuse material now comes from legally uploaded, everyday content. Yuck!

So, what are we really posting? Who’s actually watching? And should kids be on social media at all?

Why we left OnlyFans – Our honest exit story

Let’s talk about our OnlyFans. If you didn’t know, we were on it. And while it wasn’t what you’re probably thinking (no nudes, sorry!), we were unceremoniously booted off!

In this juicy, laugh-through-the-tears episode, we talk about why we left OnlyFans, how it felt to be on the platform, and what we learned about ourselves (and our followers). We also spill the tea on exactly how we got banned, why we didn’t think we were breaking the rules, and how our appeal went down in a blaze of rejection. But as devastating as all this is - we can't be held down for long!

This is not a story about rejection, rather redirection. About how sometimes the universe (or the algorithm) nudges you somewhere better. And for us, that somewhere is… well, you'll have to listen to find out!

Behind the scenes, it's been a bit doom and gloom as Lyndsey battles a never ending headache and Billi comes off of three very busy and draining weeks. But we are always happy to be together and create magic for you and we even had a content day earlier in the week where loads of shenanegans ensued!
